Zanthoxylum oil

Zanthoxylum is quite a mouthful to pronounce, the fresh smell emitted is a glorious exotically charged fruity accord. I imagine exotic fruits and juices such as Lychees, Dragon Fruit, Sharon Fruit, Pomegranate, even fresh Strawberries and as I finish inhaling I detect warmer notes reminiscent to Ginger crossed with Palma Rosa. Clearly the smell is uplifting and again it is a must oil to burn on your oil burner putting the mind and spirit in a place of true contentment.
Botanical Name: Zanthoxylum Armatum D.C

Origin: Nepal

Zanthoxylum Essential Oil is produced by steam distillation of the dried berries and this particular oil is certified organic – I have the certification to back this up and most importantly I trust and enjoy working with the supplier in question.

The major constituent of Zanthoxylum which some pronounce as Xanthoxylum is Linalool at nearly 50%, b-Phellandrene at over 30% and Methyl cinnamate at just about 10%. Due to the extremely impressive content of Linalool which is found in numerous oils including Sweet Basil & Lavender we can assume Zanthoxylum will also help ease general pains and so long as it is diluted appropriately in carrier it could be used to treat minor cuts and bruises and in massage it could be useful to help ease aching muscles.
