Spikenard Essential Oil

Spikenard Essential Oil
Add Items to Cart
Spikenard is mentioned on numerous occasions in the bible, this holy oil is also known as, Nard, Musk Root and Jatamansi and is part of the valerian family (valerianacea) and thus is sometimes referred to as ‘False Valerian Root’. Spikenard is a gorgeous rich amber colour, is of thin viscosity and exudes an extremely powerful, masculine aroma. I detect a lovely sticky sweet scent I associate with aged Himalayan Cedarwood or Sugandha Kokila, I get warmth and spiciness reminiscent of smelling a blend of Black Pepper and Ginger and I do get those rather distinctive and somewhat bitter elements I relate to smelling Valerian and Angelica Root.
Botanical Name: Nardostachys Jatamansi

Origin: India
