Lavender Spike Essential Oil also known as Aspic or Spike Lavender should not be confused with regular Lavender (Angustifolium) as the natural chemistry of the two plants is different thus different therapeutic uses. Spike Lavender has a sharp camphor scent and is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering clusters which grow on chalky soils of the fairly low arid limestone hillsides in the South of France.
Botanical Name: Lavandula Latifolia Vill

Origin: Spain

Used in an oil burner this is a refreshing and uplifting aroma that is useful it seems for easing headaches and as with most oils has highly anti-bacterial properties.
