Pine Essential Oils SIBERICA

Pine Siberica

When most think of pine, words such as cleansing, invigorating, piercing, and antiseptic enter our thoughts. However Pinus Siberica is audacious and pushes the boundaries much further, regarded by Pine connoisseurs’ as the Master piece of Pine oils and I wholeheartedly agree. When you first smell this you detect the classic pine aroma but it has a pleasant undertone of soft smelling fruits crossed with fresh rosemary leaves that somehow seem to collectively and effortlessly infuse within the pine aroma. The smell is complex yet not as attention seeking as the Pinus sylvestris species which boasts the classic pine smell throughout with nothing in between, just clear and sharp.
Botanical Name: Pinus Siberica

Origin: Siberia

If you are a therapist you can consider Pinus sibirica as a brilliant replacement for the species of pine oil you currently use. Also this is great on an oil burner for settling the mind, I really think if you are suffering from anxiety and have problems and worries then the smell alone of this oil can provide comfort for your mind helping you to make positive changes in your lifestyle.

What I’m about to say may sound very zany but everybody reading this will at some stage feel a little fragile and unsure of themselves in life, perfectly normal in today’s times. I’d ask you to imagine being in that state and then having someone who is important to you wrap you in a warm blanket, give you a big cuddle, tell you everything is going to be ok and then sit with you until you begin to feel better. Why do I ask you to imagine such a powerful and emotionally charged scenario, well because this oil and the smell it exudes is that type of comfort I feel possible when I smell this oil. Many will tell you how penetrating pine essential oil can be and they would be right. To some extent many Pinus species can be sharp and noisy but Pinus sibirica is deeply stimulating, it delivers itself to you in a comforting and considerate manner. It invokes the feelings of fascination and wonderment of walking through a pine forest, gazing up to the trees, deeply inhaling the cleansing and purified scent, yet feeling a deep and sacred peace in this amazing sanctuary.

I probably sound very passionate writing this but I really like to understand and explore my oils regarding scent as I feel many do not give enough credit to what scent can do and how it can impact on us in such a powerful and potentially positive way by healing our bodies on an emotional mental and physical level. On a lighter note I would personally recommend Pinus sibiriaca mixed with Ravensara and Eucalyptus radiatta or camaldulensis perhaps used on an oil burner to assist those that suffer with the winter blues. I'm also informed by a friend that this oil is good when used with Bergamot and Petitgrain for helping those with low light levels of SAD Disorder. This is a beautiful, spiritual oil and a real must have in everyone’s collection.
