Manuka Essential Oil is antibacterial, antifungal and has anti-inflammatory properties. Manuka plants are bushy shrubs that grow wild in New Zealand. Manuka Essential Oil contains a wider range of active and therapeutically beneficial compounds plus much higher antibiotic activity than Australian Tea Tree.
The principal constituents of Manuka Essential Oil are, triketones, sesquiterpenes, monoterpenes, geranyl acetate, methyl cinnamate. A traditional medicine of the Maori and Aboriginal peoples which has good skin toning properties.
