As with all the oils we sell at Hermitage Oils the Helyichysum Essential Oil we sell is the best that exists, please allow me to explain why. If we look at the natural chemistry of Helyichrysum we find a chemical called 'neryl acetate' this naturally occurring chemical within Helyichrysum is proven to relax sore and cramped muscles. The French oil contains the biggest amount of neryl acetate accounting for upto 52% of the oil and making it a very prized and highly valuable oil in comparison with the Egyptian, Indian and American oils which chemically speaking are inferior in this instance, normally containing no more than 25% neryl acetate at best.
Botanical Name: Helichysum Angustifolium

Origin: France

Extraction Method: The seeds are steam distalled or solvent extracted. Light yellow in colour.

Natural Chemistry: nerol, neryl acetate, geraniol, pinene, linalool, isovaleric alderhyde, sesquiterpenes, furfurol, eugenol, pinene.

Safety Data: Not to be used by epileptics.

Also the French Helichrysum Oil is more full bodied in smell and far more soothing and pleasing on the senses. It has a warm earthy aroma that is incredibly invigorating and uplifting, the content of Linalool in Helychrsum Essential Oil also helps people gain clarity of thought making this oil very useful if you are studying for an important exam which could be further enhanced when blended with Sweet Basil and Sweet Fennel Oils.

Aside from being the true therapists choice for treating muscle cramps it is also has superb anti-inflammatory qualities due in part to it containing Curcumenes which are more commonly found in Turmeric Essential Oil and which are proven to reduce pain and joint inflammation. The regeneration qualities of the oil are to do with this oil containing di-ketone which are quite rare and hard to find in other oils more so as di-ketone accounts for about 8-10% of the oil.
