Peru Balsam is thick and resinous but it liquefies really easily. Placed inside a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes and it becomes exceptionally easy to work with. The aroma is a combination of vanilla, wood and cinnamon, very pleasing indeed. I’d imagine due to the smell it will be a useful fixative for natural perfumers and would blend especially well with cognac, benzoin, patchouli and sandalwood oils.
