Patchouli Molecular Distilled
This material is created as follows, the dark Patchouli is sent from Indonesia to France. It is then re-distilled using a molecular still; this results in all the components breaking down, within the still we have a plate which all the non-volatile parts such as residual waxes will stick to. All the volatile vapours are collected and run through a condensing column and it’s turned back into molecular distilled Patchouli. Pemou ORGANIC (Siam Wood)
Pemou is also commonly known as Siam wood. The smell is glorious, it is rich, warm, sweet and creamy and as the smell develops I would say it has similarities in smell to the conventional Himalyan and Atlas Cedarwood I offer crossed with Benzoin and a dash of blood Orange.The major constituents of the oil are fokeinol and nerolidiol accounting for over 70% of the oil. Peru Balsam Essential Oil
Peru Balsam is thick and resinous but it liquefies really easily. Placed inside a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes and it becomes exceptionally easy to work with. The aroma is a combination of vanilla, wood and cinnamon, very pleasing indeed. I’d imagine due to the smell it will be a useful fixative for natural perfumers and would blend especially well with cognac, benzoin, patchouli and sandalwood oils. More Info >>
Petitgrain Essential Oil
A lovely oil to work with in Aromatherapy, Petitgrain Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of the same tree that produces Bitter Orange and Neroli True.
