Extracted by steam distilling the fragrant leaves collected from the small bushy tree. I personally find the smell rather pleasant, I was concerned it maybe overbearing but no, it is subtle, a little bit spicy, slightly bitter and somewhat sweet. The colour is pale yellow and looking at its chemistry it contains minute amounts of beta-elemene and aromadendrene, which collectively are responsible for the impressive antimicrobial properties of Curry Leaf Essential Oil.

Clearly when it comes to blending oils we all have our own preferences, if you are a perfumer or an aromatherapist I think real skill is required to blend oils well together and in this instance always remember you only need minute amounts, because too much curry leaf and your creation will ruined.
