Clove Leaf Essential Oil, obtained by steam distillation of the leaves. This oil has a similar chemistry to Clove Bud but contains upto 80% eugenol, Clove Bud normally contains around 55% eugenol and is considered the safer of the two therapeutically. The therapeutic properties of clove oil are analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic and anti-neuralgic.
