Absynthe Essential Oil (Wormwood)
Steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops and commonly known as Wormwood and Green Ginger. The colour is a gorgeous marine blue-green and the smell is very fresh, sharp and herbaceous throughout. Black Pine ORGANIC Essential Oil
Hmm, where do I start? Ok, well with Black Pine you will likely find most highly regarded books discourage the purchase of Black Pine over the various other species, supposedly weak, lacking body and just a very uninspiring Pine specie. I must mention that these authors are NOT speaking for me AT ALL as I adore this oil. I admit I am a big fan of the Pinus genesus and all the commercially available species, and feel this oil does have purpose and valid reason to be embraced and enjoyed by all essential oil enthusiasts. Bread Extract
At the moment I am still trying to get more information on this so just want to say for now it is not an essential oil and this is why it has no botanical name – not from a plant. Interesting, confusing and very dangerous is how I sum up Cedar Leaf.Safety Data: Not to be used in aromatherapy at all. Only potential use is for natural perfumer. This oil is extracted from the White Cedar tree in Canada by steam distillation of the twigs and leafs and is clear in colour. Garlic Essential Oil
Because of Garlic's reputation for unsavoury smelliness, it surprises many people to find it listed as an aromatherapy oil, for they think of these as being predominantly sweet-scented! However, it is one of the most powerful of all antiseptic essential oils known, and if this were its only property it would be enough to make it a valuable oil; but it has many other important actions, particuarly in decongesting and detoxifying, and in its effect on the blood and circulation. Holy Basil ORGANIC Essential Oil
Holy Basil or Tulsi as it is commonly known is of great religious importance to those of eastern civilisation and anyone who lives the ‘Ayurveda’ life. My knowledge of the chakra system is not overly great but I understand Holy Basil plays a huge part as it is supposed to balance the chakras enabling easy flow of energy from chakra wheel to chakra wheel and in doing so the idea is that the mind, body and soul will function in optimal condition. Hop Essential Oil
Hop is probably most famous as a flavouring and stability agent in beer and is related to the hemp family. On the Hop plant we find the hops, stunning looking flower clusters that are picked, dried and steam distilled to give us the Hop essential oil. The colour is clear to pale yellow and I would describe the smell as clean, sweet, and somewhat herbal and vegetative. The consistency is water like and I am proud to say this is English material. Iary Essential Oil
This plant grows freely in Madagascar; the oil is produced by steam distilling the leaves so I do not know why some UK sellers state all the plant is distilled as that is certainly not the case. This smell has similarities with common Pine oils such as Pinus sylvestris and nigra crossed with Eucalyptus camaldulensis but on a far more extreme and intense level. More Info >>

Katrafay Essential Oil
Katrafay is a deeply stimulating essential oil that exudes the most exquisite masculine smell I think have ever experienced. Dry, woody, green, earthy, crisp and clean are words I would use to describe the smell. To take this a step further I would say it is almost like a cross of Indian Sandalwood with maybe Virginian Cedarwood. The smell is so pleasant, long lasting and highly addictive. For all the natural perfumers reading this I would highly advise you to try this oil, a great fixative that would blend well with all citrus, spice, herb and floral oils I think. I can’t recommend this highly enough and assure you once you try Katrafay you will love and adore it and continue to use it for the rest of time. More Info >>

Lemongrass EAST INDIAN
EAST Indian Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus) grows mainly in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh and I would class this as South India actually but eitherway this specie does differ chemically from the west indian material as it contains less Citral and Mycrene. The two major constiuents are 39.98% Geranial and 31.10% Neral. This may explain why it is not particularly sweet and why it is the dryer smelling of the two oils with a light floral tint. For perfumers though East Indian is good as due to the lack of Mycrene and Citral it has a longer shelf life. More Info >>
Lemongrass ORGANIC Essential Oil
Whilst the environmental impact maybe positive, Organic Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) smells near identical to its conventional counterpart and if you look at the chemistry for this oil I fail to see anything that is overly different. As mentioned elsewhere, Lemongrass is an excellent insect repellent and appetite stimulant, the aroma is often described as resembling Lemon sherbet sweets. Actually it is worth mentioning if you are not a fan of the smell then Fennel is also an equally good appetite stimulant. More Info >>

Yarrow Essential Oil (High Azulene)
Hermitage Oils Yarrow Essential Oil is grown in the UK, is dark blue in colour and is packed with ‘Azulene’ which has anti inflammatory properties.Yarrow Essential Oil is steeped in a wonderful history, my favourite story is that Yarrow oil was supposedly used by the Greek warrior Achilles to stop his wounds from bleeding, I wonder if it has any bearing on the botanical name which is Achillea millefolium! True or not Yarrow is a superb anti-inflammatory and astringent, it soothes the mind and aids a great nights sleep - try blending it in Jojoba and massaging the blend into the jaw on both sides of the face. Zanthoxylum ORGANIC Essential Oil
Zanthoxylum is quite a mouthful to pronounce, the fresh smell emitted is a glorious exotically charged fruity accord. I imagine exotic fruits and juices such as Lychees, Dragon Fruit, Sharon Fruit, Pomegranate, even fresh Strawberries and as I finish inhaling I detect warmer notes reminiscent to Ginger crossed with Palma Rosa. Clearly the smell is uplifting and again it is a must oil to burn on your oil burner putting the mind and spirit in a place of true contentment. More Info >>
