This absolute oil is another material probably suited to the natural perfumer only; it has a thick and sticky consistency. In my opinion the initial smell is not overly pleasant, it reminds me of drinking vegetable juice as a teenager, possessing a potent carrot note throughout, really bizarre and not a pleasant memory.

Applying a drop neat to my skin to evaluate further and the smell of Iris is something totally different, my olfactory senses now pleasantly and surprisingly stimulated. Now I would describe the scent as slightly sweet, comparable to maybe going into the garden after a light rain shower, it has that cooling, clean outdoor earthy freshness entwined with the smell of sweet violets. It is important to mention that the content of Irone will drastically change the price, always ask your supplier, this absolute contains 1% Irone.
